A Home She Built for Others
When Alasoba Kelsy-Braide arrived in Canada from Nigeria in 2017, she came with two children, one suitcase, and no one she knew. A few kind people helped her find her footing — and she never forgot it. Today she is one of Orillia’s most recognized community leaders, dedicated to making sure no newcomer or Black family ever feels alone the way she once did.
